On a More Somber Note

So I’m sitting in bed, thinking about how I don’t want to go back to college. My main reason that I don’t want to go is that I have already HAD my senior year. No offense to those who will be entering their senior year of college, but I already did it. I had my time. I’m done.

I have to go back to college for an internship, and that means that everyone I see will ask, “I thought you were a senior last semester,” and I will reply, “Yes, I was… and I am a super senior now,” which really sucks. The really immature part of me is thinking, “I did my senior year already, and now I don’t want to be thrown into the 2006-Senior-Category because I am older than you people, and I began college in 2001. I am a 2005 GRAD AT HEART!” …Well, I will be graduating in 2005 by the skin of my teeth (December).

(The above picture was a forced smile while I watched all of the people I came into college with graduate before me– a little sad and bitter, yes)

  1. They should just change college to at least a 5 year institution now. I feel that straight A students shouldn’t bear the stigma of the 7 year college student that people used to make fun of in television shows in the 70’s.
