Name the Puppy 2006

Below are some pictures of the new puppy. She is a black lab/yellow lab mix with a little white spot on her chin and on her 2 back paws. We have no idea what to name her yet, although Peter is partial to Taco, and I like Libby… we cannot choose a name that we agree on.

So feel free to send in your suggestions. Any help would be wonderful. This puppy needs a name, folks.

I Guess I Should Write Something…

It’s been a while, kinda. Since Christmas was only a few days ago, I feel that I should write something.

Well, Peter and I went looking for puppies. We were pretty much unsuccessful at finding lab mix puppies in the SPCAs and animal control centers. I saw an adorable lab mix on petfinder.com. I thought there were only 2 (a male and female), but when we went to check the puppy out at her foster mom’s house (yes, she is in a foster home), there were 4 adorable puppies. I was in puppy heaven. It was glorious. Puppies were everywhere, climbing all over me and gnawing on my coat buttons. Adorable. So we put in a pre-adoption application for Ginger, the adorable one. We haven’t heard back from the adoption people yet, but I am hoping to hear from them by the end of the week… Apparently it’s a big production to adopt from foster homes. Keep your fingers crossed. She’s cute!
Christmas was really nice. My family got health insurance for me! That is definitely a relief. I have been paranoid while doing anything lately, because I thought I was uninsured. Sneaky, sneaky. I also got a Sizzix diecut machine, clothes, earrings, VS undies, iPod stuff, and other fun things from my mom, dad, and Jerry. Meem and Peep got me the Magic Bullet Express (blender that I ALWAYS wanted!!! hehehe.. I am so infomercial-lame), pjs, and tea. Peter got me the 40 Year Old Virgin dvd, iPod stuff, and a beaaaaautiful blue topaz bracelet. Peter’s family got me earrings, B&BW lotions/sprays/etc., Origami calendar, gift card to the teacher store, and a picture frame. Thank you to everyone 🙂

I gave my mom some earrings, a shirt, perfume, and a wine bottle opener from Bed Bath & Beyond. Dad got some crackers that he eats all the time and a nice blender for making margaritas. Jerry got a Green Day CD/DVD and a Green Day rubberbandbracelet thing. Meem and Peep got a mist-er for the garage, a soothing heat pad, and a Pogo game for the computer.

I tried using my new Magic Bullet Express–I have to use the whole name because it drives Peter crazy–to make a milkshake and also tried to make homemade pudding. The pudding… not so good. It ended up being more of a brownie batter. I actually put it in the microwave, and it rose like brownies. So the pudding was horrible, but now I have some delicious brownies.

Using my iPod is wonderful now… it actually stays on for longer than 1 second. I kid you not; my iPod didn’t stay on for longer than 1 second before (unless it was on my car charger 24/7). YAY for batteries!

I am getting offline now, so I can watch the Tsunami documentary on Discovery channel.

Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and Happy Kwanzaa!

Graduation 2005

Well, the ceremony was pretty long (as most of them are). The speaker lied and told us that the speech would be short and then proceeded to read about 20 pages of quotes to us. It was a nice graduation ceremony though… My family packed up 3 cars worth of my crap. Thank you!!
We had a delicious dinner at Kabuki. I was worried that Peep would hate it, but he seemed to have fun. Unfortunately, he did get horrible indigestion that night, but he was a good sport.

Here are some graduation pics.
