El Fin de Semana

Ah, I love Thursdays. During the summer, Thursday are my Fridays. That means I get to sleep in tomorrow… but I still have a day packed with stuff to do.

Peter and I are supposed to go to Kyoto Japanese Restaurant tomorrow night for Peter’s brother’s birthday dinner (David). Kyoto was pretty tasty last time, so I’m expecting a nice night out.

I really like this picture-posting. I know, I know. I am easily amused, but c’mon… it’s fun! Here’s a postcard that went to alumni at RU, encouraging them to donate money. Notice anyone familiar?

Woofs

Last night consisted of trying to calm my two black labs during the thunderstorm that seemed to last all night long…literally. I just laid in bed with Holly, who was shivering and huddling against me, and Candy, who wanted to jump up and down off the bed to make sure Holly was ok. I suppose it’s kind of cute to know that they take care of each other, though.

Let’s hope for some sleep tonight!

Late Night Bloggers

Have you ever noticed that most of the blogging activity seems to happen from midnight on? Nobody [well, not 20-somethings] gets online and surfs earlier. Personally, I like to save my daytime and afterworktime fun to spend with people, then I surf and chat online in order to get ready for bed. There’s something nice about settling down and having me-time before bed.

Stuck-in-the-Tube Fun

Today was a day filled with ECPI work and then puppy fun afterward. It was definitely not comparable to stuck-in-the-tube fun. Peter really likes the tubes. I actually have to coax him out of them. And then it takes a miracle to actually get this boy under the water. It’s crazy!

I swear I must be part fish; I love to flip, handstand, and spin in the pool, whereas he likes to float but not in circles.

This past weekend, Peter tricked me into the tube
s and then proceded to stack them until I was stuck. Luckily, I have some footage of him being stuck, too. I laughed my butt off when he flopped around, one leg in and one leg out of the tube–those stupid tubes. I think all of the tubes in the world should be popped. Flips for everyone!

The Race Continues…

Today was the first day back at work. I totally overslept and almost got to work late. Luckily, my clock-instinct told me that I had about a minute to wake up, get dressed, brush my teeth, pee, and run out the door.

I’m still racing with Peter. He’s putting up a good fight. Any bloggers out there need to help me win… He is playing around with the new Google Map feature, and the more people that check out his site, the nerdier it will make him (the more it will help him create this site). So if you are feeling generous with your time, click this link and type in your zipcode. Then when the next page comes up, copy and paste that link and send it to your friends.

Anyways, work went relatively quick today. I am glad that I only have a month left, because I can’t take too much more of this working until 7pm stuff. Since I don’t eat breakfast (I know, I know… I should eat in the morning), I am starving at 10, so then I eat lunch at 12:30. The next 7 hours of the day go by slowly and make me hungry.

My family and I are supposedly going to Washington DC in August for a weekend. Anyone have any suggestions as to what we should do? I really wanna visit an H&M store. I keep seeing the ads in my Cosmo and I need to check it out. The clothes look trendy but reasonable.

El Fin

Tonight, my vacation ends. I have to go back to work tomorrow. I feel like I need another week off. Does that make any sense? I need a week of being home while everyone else is at work–then I could sleep late, eat lunch at a crazy time, lie around and watch stupid TV, and by the time I would get tired of being home alone, it would be time for everyone to get home from work. That would just work out perfectly.

A Race Against my Boyfriend

I’m trying to kick Peter’s butt.. we’re competing to see how many people we can get to go to this site. If you want to help me win our little contest, send the link to your friends through AIM. C’mon! Let’s kick some bootay.
